I feel like I already have so much in common with all of you! :) Well, except that you are all from the most amazing places in the country, and I'm stuck in the good ole' Midwest. I'm Toni, I'm 18, and I'm orginally from Columbus, OH, where I live with my mom & dad, 2 younger brothers, and big black lab Murphy.
Kalamazoo College, in Michigan, has been my home for the past year. I'm an Anthropology/Sociology major, environmental studies concentration. Although I don't quite know what career path goes along with that, I suppose it's not too important to me at the moment. Seems like you all can relate a little?
I love cooking, reading&writing, soccer, running long distance, meeting new, genuine people...the list goes on and on. I am SO nervous and SO excited for our Sinaloan adventure. I love working with kids. I am by no means fluent in Spanish, and I anticipate that teaching in Mexico will mean just as much--if not more--learning on my part. Oh, and also, I can't wait to meet my host family!
Counting down the days until Mexico..
